Please keep in that while we do not charge a resort fee as most on Maui are now charging; the resort has implemented a parking fee that is payable at check-in at the resort. The fee is as follows:
For the first 30 days $10.00 per day plus taxes
For 31+ days the fee is $7.00 per day plus taxes.
Resort fees are usually charged to cover amenities like WIFI and gym access - we continue to offer those complimentary
The beach fronting the Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that influence the beaches physical appearance and size. During the fall and winter, it is not uncommon that these currents sweep away a very large amount of sand, which will gradually return back in spring and summer, based on the ocean's current activity. Our homeowners Assoc., The County of Maui, and the State of Hawaii are working diligently to return Kahana Bay to its full potential.
This circumstance, unfortunately, affects the accessibility of our valued guests to the beach. While there may not be, at times, direct access from the property to the beach during the fall and winter season, there is a public beach access within 5 minutes walking distance.
Our guests' safety is of the utmost concern for us. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
You can stay updated on our ocean front access by viewing our web page, rkmaui(dot)com, and checking the postings on the homepage. We update the postings as soon as we receive new information from the resort.
The Royal Kahana location allows guests to enjoy the dining and night life of the historic whaling town of Lahaina, the world famous beaches, shops and restaurants of Kaanapali, or the more upscale spas, shopping and dining of Kapalua. All within a 10 minute drive. Our online Representative is Trinity Maid Co.,Inc. A trusted and wonderfully reliable service.
*We recommend visiting the Aloha Concierge?s Desk located in the lobby at the Royal Kahana. They share great information and discounts.
There are many more things to do on Maui than could be squeezed into a lifetime of vacationing. Experience the wide assortment of Maui activities and cultural attractions.
Climb to the summit of Haleakala Crater - where streaks of fiery red, yellow, gray, and black ash trace the path of an extinct volcano. Discover endless acres of exotic native plants at Kula Botanical Gardens, or admire the works of some of the world's foremost painters, on display in the galleries of Lahaina. <> Brave the hairpin twists and turns of the legendary Road to Hana. Snorkel the crystal-clear waters and colorful reefs of Molokini, or stroll along beaches of gold, black, ruby, or pearl white sands. Sip a local, vintage at the Ukupalakua Ranch Tedeschi Vineyards - Maui's only commercial winery transformed from the site of a historic jailhouse. Or pursue ancient tradition by attending hula events, canoe races, down-home luau, rodeos, and performances of treasured song.
