Looking to just get away? Want a quiet place to hide? Try Sullivan, Maine. This little town is quiet, with only 1,236 residents but every one of them are extremely friendly! Sullivan is composed of North Sullivan, West Sullivan, East Sullivan, Sullivan Harbor, Alderville Township, Taunton Shores, Ashville, and Morancy.
A short boat ride away you’ll find Mount Desert Island and within, Acadia National Park. Here you’ll be able to take in the breathtaking views of what nature has to hold amongst its mountains and the crystal clear lakes. You’ll be missing out if you don’t bring your hiking boots. Back in Sullivan, there are plenty of opportunities for some fun on the water! Flanders Pond and Tunk Lake are both popular spots to spend the day at the beach! You can also go boating out on either of these lakes or in the nearby Frenchman Bay and just go sailing or fishing! If you want to go whale watching, we recommend scheduling a tour at nearby Bar Harbor! If you’ve an ATV you can hit the trails surrounding Sullivan or if you’re here in winter, you can go snowmobiling on many of these trails!
