Vacation Rental Description

We want you to know we are doing our part to ensure that our guests' stays with us will be as safe as possible and have instituted three measures to maintain a safe stay.

First, prior to your visit the premises will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected consistent with the CDC's guidelines.

Second, for additional precautions, guests' stays will be spaced further apart by implementing earlier check-outs and later check-ins.

Third, all of our staff who are involved in the preparation of the home for our guests' stays will have been thoroughly cleared for health issues.

THE SPACE
This tranquil paradise will irradiate your heart with innumerable happy memories and inspire you with the promises of a million more. The numerous common areas in the home make it an ideal spot for a small group. This would be a perfect place for Seattleites to staycation with your “quaranteam” or for out of towners to come and enjoy the best of what the Seattle outdoors has to offer.

WHIMSICAL & BEACHY
As soon as you enter the playful periwinkle french doors you will be greeted by a spacious floorplan which is flooded with light from the vast windows showing off the impressive sweeping landscape. You have a gorgeous view from cooking in the kitchen to enjoying a meal at the dining table. Each bedroom is adorned with glass doors to savor those water and mountainscapes one last time before a restful night or during your morning coffee in bed.

Hang out on the front porch where there is a cozy breakfast nook and enough seating for 8. From here, you can watch Alki lifestyle unfold such as cycling, long boarding, and boats sailing by. Ease into the day here while you sip a cappuccino, read a book, or catch up on some journaling. Then, spend some time in your private backyard which comes complete with a picnic set. Or, go ahead and get involved in the action yourself! There are plenty of rental vendors nearby to gear you up for whichever adventure you'd like to take on that day. Go for a walk, a bike ride, roller blade, kayak, paddleboard, join a game of volleyball, or just hang out on the sandy beach to take in the cityscape. (There is no better place to view the city skyline than from Alki!) Get lucky during the fall/winter season and you might catch a show from the local Orca whales!

Although there are plenty of delicious waterfront restaurants, be sure to get back to this whimsical waterfront home for dinner or a nightcap on your 3rd floor deck to to take in that stunning Alki sunset. Your outdoor living space has everything you will need for a relaxing, intimate night with family and friends. Cook up dinner to enjoy at the outdoor dining set. Then sink into the patio sofa to enjoy some stargazing next to the ambiance of your fire table. (Don't forget to bring S'mores supplies!) Wake up to enjoy breakfast in this very same spot and take in the view of downtown Seattle, the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Alki Beach is where Seattleites escape to when they want to live close to the water but get out of the bustle of downtown, just 15 minutes away. The neighborhood wraps around the coastline of West Seattle giving you jaw dropping views of the Seattle cityscape. Just don't forget to turn around! In the charming beach town behind you, sits Alki Beach Park packed full of restaurants, cafes, and bars. You will also find a brewery hosting yoga sessions, beach shops, historic landmarks, and several iconic restaurants to Seattle. We're happy to share our recommendations with you!

Running parallel to the sandy beach, cyclists, runners, long boarders and rollerbladers can take advantage of a paved, 2.5-mile-long pathway. Bicycles, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are conveniently available for rent. On a sunny day, you might just want to pull up a lounge chair and snag yourself one of the grills and firepits there for public use.

GETTING AROUND
The West Seattle Water Taxi is the best way to get to and from downtown Seattle, leaving from its dock near the Seattle Ferry Terminal in downtown. This 15-minute boat ride drops you right off on the eastern end of Alki Beach.

There is street side parking if you prefer to drive yourself. Downtown is about 20 minutes away, and Uber/Lyft are widely available.

*For stays of 30+ nights please see our "Alki Beach, Waterfront Retreat". Pricing is more comfortable for stays of that length and you would be getting the same luxuries of a short-term vacation rental.
