Vacation Rental Description

This pet-friendly apartment suite has 2 levels, where the bedroom and living areas are raised, and accessed from a staircase. It features a King sized bed, a bathroom with a standing shower, a dedicated workspace, living and dining areas, as well as a spacious open concept kitchen. You'll be right in Chinatown, with a dog-friendly park across the street. Complimentary wifi access is included and there is convenient parking available on site.

The Space:
This apartment is in a great location, just steps from Chinatown. There's loads of great restaurants nearby. Craving some legit Chinese dishes? Head over to Yangtze Dining Lounge. Or if you're up for something with extra pizzazz, hit up Shanghai Restaurant – they've been rocking it since '71 – serving Asian goodies with drag queen karaoke on Saturdays. Wrap up your evening with cocktails and live acts at a laid-back spot like The Art House Café.

If you're travelling with a pet, you'll be happy to hear that this apartment is across the street from McNabb park, which has an enclosed grassy off leash dog park, a skatepark, a wadding pool and also a large playground.

The apartment suite has 2 levels, separated by a small staircase. The top level hosts the living room area, with a sofa and air conditioner. There's also a smart TV for your entertainment. The King sized bed and bathroom are also on the upper level. If you need to get some work done, you'll love the designated laptop friendly workspace and complimentary high speed internet service.

Moving down the stairs, you'll find a spacious open concept kitchen with modern appliances. There's an oven with stove-top cooking surface, full sized fridge/freezer combo, deep double sink, and a microwave. There's also smaller appliances including a toaster and kettle. There's a dining table with space for 2, and plenty of cupboards and countertop cooking space.

You'll have your own private entrance into the building, and there's available parking on site for an additional fee. The Neighborhood:
The first Chinese to settle in Ottawa arrived around 1911, and by 1931 they established Chinatown on Albert Street, between Kent and O’Conner. As the city grew and office buildings began to pop up downtown, Chinatown businesses began to close. In the 1970s an influx of Chinese and Vietnamese immigrants arrived, and a new Chinatown started to emerge on Somerset Street W, between Bay and Preston. The Royal Arch (a joint project with Beijing), the gateway to Chinatown, was erected on Somerset, just after Bronson Ave, in 2010.

In June, Ottawa Chinatown Night Market is an event not to be missed. It’s three days of live music, dragon and lion dance, and truly amazing eats.
