The Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area offers rafting and fishing experiences like no other!
If you visit in winter, you will find many skiers come to the nearby town of Telluride to explore its slopes and trails! But Montrose has plenty of attractions for itself that will keep you satisfied for years to come! You can try snowshoeing through the Black Canyon’s trails for a winter wonderland of the park. If you are a snowmobile fan, you’ll love tearing around on the Uncompahgre Plateau or the nearby Grand Mesa, the largest flattop mountain in the world.
