The resort has recognized this issue so a team of locals has been recruited to assist these paying customers in finding the best runs according to their abilities. Guests may choose from a free orientation with an expert or opt for a day making fresh tracks through secret glades with a pro. After a few runs with a Pro or Host, guests begin to feel part of the Powder Mountain family.
Powder Mountain Resort offers a guided backcountry tour at amazingly affordable prices. Recently an additional 1,000 acres of expert terrain has been added to the current 2,000+ acres of intermediate runs used by the Snowcat Powder Expedition. An all-day snowcat adventure is limited to 20 guests per day in order to preserve the quality of the experience. Make reservations well in advance to insure a seat. Wolf Canyon, Powder Mountain's steepest & deepest backcountry terrain, is now open to a limited number of guided tours.
