Springtime brings visitors looking for the elusive morel mushroom. They come to celebrate the annual Morel Mushroom Festival each spring and take part in the competitive sport of mushroom hunting around the area’s forests. One of the most famous attractions in Boyne City is this festival which is held every May. Morel mushroom hunters from around the country come in search of these gourmet delicacies.
The River Walk runs along the Boyne River and is inviting to visitors looking to slow down and relax. Take a casual stroll along the river or throw in a fishing line and sit still for a little while.
