In addition, the Duke Blue Devils basketball team is considered to be one of the most successful programs in collegiate sports. Duke sponsors 26 varsity teams and competes aggressively with the teams of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Women’s softball is scheduled to debut in the spring of 2018.
As a rule most of the visitors to Durham, NC are here for a purpose; business meetings, doctors’ appointments, sports events and other specific reasons. However, for those who want to relax and enjoy what the city and surrounding areas offer, you don’t have to look hard or far.
