Vacation Rental Description

Casa Caleton sits on the western edge of Casa de Campo Resort within Caleton Club, a private beachfront enclave with its own shoreline on the Caribbean Sea. The villa is 1.8 miles from Teeth of the Dog — ranked the #1 golf course in the Caribbean by the World Golf Awards — and Playa Caleton, the enclave's own beach, is within the immediate community. Arrival is through a floor-to-ceiling pivot door in slatted warm wood, opening directly onto an interior that looks straight through the house and out to the pool and sea beyond.

The main living area runs the full width of the ground floor: white linen sectional sofas on a light oak floor, anchored by full-height sliding glass walls that dissolve the south face of the house into the pool deck and ocean horizon. A secondary sitting area at the opposite end takes a different approach — a deep navy sectional and a moodier palette for evenings when a group naturally divides. Between the two, a floor-to-ceiling glass wine display provides its own architectural moment. The formal dining table seats twenty, positioned between the living room and a professional kitchen with a large dark stone island, five rattan counter stools with black frames, a commercial multi-burner range, full-height oak cabinetry, and two oversized woven dome pendants hanging from chain. A private gym occupies a dedicated room behind a full-length glass wall to the garden, with a cable machine, rowing equipment, adjustable bench, and dumbbells.

The twelve bedrooms are arranged across both floors, each en-suite and each with its own outdoor access. The three upper primary suites face the ocean directly, all with vaulted beam-rib ceilings and private terraces overlooking the pool and sea. The principal primary bedroom adds a curved in-room sofa and an ensuite where a freestanding soaking tub sits opposite twin vessel sinks and a window that holds the water view. On the ground floor, bedrooms take individual identities from their art and layout: one room pairs two low platform beds with a pair of large blue-grey abstract canvases and sliding glass doors opening to the garden lawn; another has a charcoal accent wall and bold modernist prints set against pink plaster; several garden-facing rooms have ensuites that open through louvered panels into private walled outdoor shower gardens planted with philodendrons and palms. One guest ensuite holds a dark freestanding oval tub. A housekeeper, cook, butler, and waiters are included with every stay.

The pool deck runs the length of the villa's sea-facing elevation — a broad expanse of pale stone terrace where a large infinity pool stretches toward the water's edge. Dark wood sun loungers line both sides of the pool beneath white market umbrellas, and a teak pergola walkway runs parallel, a covered corridor linking the living areas to the far end of the deck. At the terrace corner near the glass walls, four rattan lounge chairs frame a dark hexagonal stone coffee table, catching the afternoon light above the lawn. The garden wraps the villa on three sides, planted with plumeria, ferns, and cropped grass lawns enclosed by white rendered walls.

The Caleton Club's private beach is within the enclave, and Minitas Beach Club is 2.3 miles east. Teeth of the Dog and The Links are 1.8 miles away, with the Equestrian Center at the same distance and the Racquet Center 3 miles out. For groups that need scale without compromise — twelve en-suite bedrooms, a professional kitchen and full staff, a private gym, and a pool deck built for twenty-four — Casa Caleton is one of the largest private villas at Casa de Campo and one of the few equipped to absorb a full family reunion, corporate buyout, or multi-generational holiday without a single guest feeling squeezed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What makes Casa Caleton different from other large group villas at Casa de Campo?
At twelve bedrooms for twenty-four guests, Casa Caleton is among the largest private villas in the resort — but the detail that sets it apart is the infrastructure behind the scale. The professional kitchen is built for serious cooking: a commercial multi-burner range, full-height oak cabinetry, and a large dark stone island with five rattan counter stools. A private gym sits behind a full-length glass wall to the garden, with a cable machine, rowing equipment, and adjustable bench. Two distinct living areas let a group of twenty-four split naturally in the evening, with a floor-to-ceiling glass wine display between them and formal dining for twenty at the centre of the house. For groups that want the villa to function as a self-sufficient compound — with full staff, a teak pergola pool deck, and twelve en-suite bedrooms — the scale and the detail here both deliver.

Q: Does Casa Caleton have its own beach?
Yes. Casa Caleton is located in Caleton Club, a private western enclave of Casa de Campo Resort that has its own beach, Playa Caleton, on the Caribbean Sea. This is a separate beach from Minitas Beach Club, which sits 2.3 miles to the east on the resort's main coast. Guests who want a quieter stretch of Caribbean shoreline, closer to the villa and away from the main resort activity, will find it directly within the enclave. The infinity pool also faces the sea, so the ocean is a constant backdrop from the deck throughout the day.

Q: What are the kitchen facilities at Casa Caleton?
The villa has two kitchens. The professional kitchen is equipped for a chef cooking for large groups: a commercial multi-burner range, full-height oak cabinetry, a dark stone island with five counter stools, and dedicated prep space. A second guest kitchen provides casual access for coffee, light meals, and snacks throughout the day. The included cook manages the professional kitchen, and the concierge team can arrange grocery pre-stocking and custom menus in advance of arrival.

Q: How far is Casa Caleton from the golf courses at Casa de Campo?
Teeth of the Dog and The Links are 1.8 miles from Casa Caleton — a short golf cart ride from the Caleton Club enclave. Teeth of the Dog is ranked the #1 golf course in the Caribbean by the World Golf Awards. Dye Fore, the resort's third course, is 5 miles away near Altos de Chavón on the opposite side of the property. Advance tee times can be arranged through the resort concierge.
