Walk out the front gate at La Darsena and you're inside the Marina — the yacht club, the boutiques, the dock at the end of the walk. The townhouse sleeps four across two bedrooms. It suits couples or a small family who came for the boats and the water, not a sprawling villa with a private pool.
Mornings start with a short walk to a café table by the water, the dock already busy with crews on deck. The covered terrace at the back is the afternoon spot, container plants thick along the wall, the garden quiet through the palms. By midday the choice is the boat or the beach: steps to the dock for a charter on the Chavón River, or a short ride to Minitas Beach Club for the swim.
The Marina is the front yard — that's the whole premise. Most of the trip is on foot: a waterfront table at dinner, a drink at the bar, the boutiques and the Coconut Mall on the way home. Beyond the Marina, Minitas Beach Club is a short ride for the beach day, and Altos de Chavón is up on the cliff for the evening. Book La Darsena when the trip is about the water and a Marina table at dinner, not a sprawling villa and a pool.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What does it mean for La Darsena to be inside the Casa de Campo Marina?
The townhouse sits within the Darsena community, which is part of the Marina complex itself — the only CPH rental positioned this way. From the front gate, the Marina's waterfront restaurants, the yacht club, the boutiques and the Coconut Mall are all on foot. The dock is steps away for charters, sport fishing, or a sundowner cruise on the Chavón River. Guests staying at La Darsena don't need a golf cart for the most important part of the trip — the Marina is the address itself.
Q: How is La Darsena different from a Casa de Campo villa?
La Darsena is a townhouse, not a freestanding villa. Two bedrooms, four guests, with a covered garden terrace at the back rather than a private pool. The advantage is location: the Marina is the front yard, and the kitchen is fully equipped for guests who want to cook on their own schedule. Pool swimming is at the main hotel pool and Minitas Beach, both included with the resort registration.
Q: How does La Darsena work for a beach day at Casa de Campo?
Minitas Beach Club is a short golf cart or car ride from the townhouse — Casa de Campo's private beach, with loungers, towels, watersports, and a beachside restaurant. Loungers and towels at both the main hotel pool and Minitas Beach are included with the resort registration. For a closer water moment, the Marina dock is steps from the front gate for waterfront walks or a charter out.
Q: What's included in the nightly rate at La Darsena, and what's billed separately?
The nightly rate covers the townhouse and the housekeeper. No cook is included, but the kitchen is fully equipped for guests who want to cook on their own schedule. Food and beverages, golf cart and car rental, baby equipment, airport transfers, and any pre-stocking are arranged through our concierge and billed separately. The 18% service fee and the Casa de Campo Resort registration fee — US$30 per adult per night, US$15 per child age 4–12 — are added at the end. Resort registration covers the three golf courses, the Fitness Center, restaurants, loungers and towels at the main hotel pool and at Minitas Beach, and the medical center at Central Romana.
