Walk through the garden in the morning and Minitas Bay opens at the bottom, a wooden pier running into the water. Casa Bahia Azul sits directly on the bay in Punta Minitas, a strip of resort coastline where the beach starts at the foot of the property and the trade wind moves through the open-air pavilions all day. Five bedrooms sleep ten, built for five couples or two families who want their own slice of Minitas, with an included cook handling all the meals at the villa.
Mornings start at the pier: first swim of the day with the bay still and the resort quiet. The infinity pool runs the length of the lawn down to the sand, so the group can move between the pool and the swim without anyone crossing paths. By midday the open-air living pavilion fills with whoever isn't in the water, the trade wind moving through the open sides. The spa treatment room sits in its own quiet corner of the property, ready for afternoon appointments. By sundown the alfresco dining table seats the full ten for dinner, the bay a few feet beyond.
Punta Minitas sits at the eastern end of Minitas Bay, with the resort's main beach club walkable from the front gate and the Marina a short ride across the river. A morning at the property pier can roll into lunch at Minitas Beach Club without anyone touching a cart, and the Marina restaurants are an easy drive when the group wants to eat off-property. Casa Bahia Azul is the villa to book when a group of ten wants its own beachfront and pier without losing easy access to the rest of the resort.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How does beach access work at Casa Bahia Azul?
The villa fronts directly on Minitas Bay, with white sand at the foot of the lawn, an outdoor garden shower at the path entrance, and a private wooden pier extending into the water. Minitas Beach Club, with its watersports, lounger service, and beachfront restaurants, is a short walk west along the resort from the property. Guests don't need to drive — the day starts and ends on the bay.
Q: How private is the villa given it sits on Minitas Bay?
The property is laid out as a set of separate open-air pavilions wrapped around an interior garden, so the bedrooms, living spaces, and pool terrace each have their own pocket of quiet. The lawn and pier are screened from the public Minitas Beach walk by mature tropical landscaping, and access to the beachfront garden is controlled. Inside the villa, the multi-pavilion design lets guests use the property without crossing paths when the group of ten wants to spread out.
Q: Can Casa Bahia Azul host a private dinner or celebration?
Yes. The alfresco dining table under the thatched pavilion seats the full ten with the bay as the backdrop, and the lawn behind it holds a longer table or buffet setup when the event grows beyond the immediate group. The open-air living pavilion works for cocktails before dinner, and the pool terrace handles after-dinner gathering with the sea in view. Meals are handled by the included staff, so hosts can focus on guests rather than logistics.
Q: What makes Casa Bahia Azul different from other beachfront villas at Casa de Campo?
The architecture. Most beachfront villas at the resort are single buildings with rooms inside. Casa Bahia Azul is a set of independent open-air pavilions, each with carved wooden columns and a tall thatched roof, connected by gardens and walkways. The villa also has a dedicated spa treatment room, which is rare in the portfolio, and a private wooden pier extending into the bay. The result reads as a tropical estate rather than a single villa.
